ACT granted £3,515 to the Institute of Cancer Research to purchase a specialised spot- curing lamp for use in bladder cancer research. The equipment supports Dr Anna Wilkins’ work using Kaede mice, which allow immune cells to be tracked in real time, enabling researchers to observe how radiation therapy influences immune responses.

The lamp is essential for photoconversion imaging — a powerful technique that provides critical insight into immune cell behaviour following treatment, with the potential to inform improved cancer therapies.
